Death Note: Gregory Von Tocket, age 63, of Lewisberry, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, PA. Born September 30, 1947 in Bethlehem, PA, he was a son of the late Neilo J. and Pauline C. "Polly" (Troutman) Tocket.
Greg served as a Second Lieutenant in the Army National Guard and went on to work in management at Appleton Papers for 27 years. His love, however, was for Brass Era classic and antique cars. Known as "The Cadillac Man," Greg owned and operated his own antique auto restoration business, Stoneaire Classic Cars. Greg was a member of AACA and its Gettysburg Region, and was a founding member of the Susquehanna Valley Region of the Horseless Carriage Club of America (HCCA). His dedication to working on cars also led him to the Hershey Antique Car Show, an event which he never missed in 38 years. Greg also shared a love for travel with his wife, Sharon, and together they toured around the United States, Europe and the Caribbean, with a special fondness for Puerto Rico.
Surviving is his wife Sharon E. (Miller) Tocket; his daughters Danielle N. (Tocket) Moser (Matthew) of York, and Heather O. Tocket Ramos (Jeremias) of Rutherford, NJ; grandchildren Jacob, Nathan, and Mitchell Moser, Julian Ramos as well as Baby Boy Ramos due in December; three siblings and their spouses Jeffrey E. Tocket (Nicole), Cynthia A. Sheely (Lynn A. Keeley), and Susan L. Richter (William, IV); brother-in-law James E. Miller (Ada); as well as 12 nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 26, 2011 at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, with visitation taking place from 10:00 a.m., to 12:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.
